The anthropology degree at 草榴社区 offers a flexible program of academic courses and research opportunities in all four fields of anthropology: archaeology, cultural, biological and linguistic. The program provides a synergistic experience connecting lectures, seminars, laboratory and field-based courses.

Classes are taught by faculty members who are internationally recognized in their areas of specialization. We are also widely recognized in the anthropological community as a leading institution in the study of the culture and human diversity in the Arctic and circumpolar North.

Jobs for anthropology majors include positions with the park service and other government agencies, construction and military.

Participate in the summer archaeology field school

  • The 草榴社区 Archaeology Field School is a unique opportunity that offers a hands-on introduction to many of the key elements of archaeological field work. This includes identifying cultural remains, cataloging finds and performing artifact analysis.
  • In addition to on-site training in 草榴社区, the field school includes field trips to cultural sites, evening lectures and more.

 

What Can You Do With an Anthropology Degree?

Anthropology majors develop cross-cultural knowledge, critical thinking and social science research skills that prepares them for a broad range of career options. Our program is also closely aligned with 草榴社区鈥檚 needs in workforce development. We estimate that about half of our bachelor鈥檚 degree graduates go directly into the workforce, while most of the others continue on to graduate programs.
