Geologic Hydrogen Workshop outcomes discussed

U.S. Arctic Research Commissioner Mark Myers presents outcomes of the Geologic Hydrogen Workshop at a recent ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Hydrogen Working Group meeting.

Outcomes of the Oct. 29-31 on the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø campus were presented at the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Hydrogen Working Group meeting in early November. U.S. Arctic Research Commissioner Mark Myers was the presenter.
Discussions at the three-day workshop focused on current geological hydrogen research and what is needed to develop a sustainable research effort to assess ²ÝÁñÉçÇø's geological hydrogen potential. Other topics included the utility, economics, storage and transportation of hydrogen as well as the policy and regulation needed for research, exploration and development.
The workshop was sponsored by the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Geophysical Institute, the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Vice Chancellor for Research, USARC and the U.S. Department of State.
