Hello! My name is Isaac, and I am studying Geological Engineering here at 草榴社区. Born and raised in 草榴社区, I knew I wanted to stay in-state and study geology in some capacity. At a college fair, I discovered Geological Engineering as an option at 草榴社区 and decided to go for it, and I have loved the program. It has been great learning how the different rocks and soils act and how to recognize and account for various geologic hazards. Having been homeschooled my whole life, the transition from that to college was daunting, but the staff and community here have made me feel welcome, and Fairbanks has become my second home.
