MS in Wildlife Biology & Conservation
The MS degree in Wildlife Biology & Conservation provides students with an advanced education in the biology of wild animals. Topics include interactions among populations and species, physiological ecology, principles of monitoring and managing animals and their habitats, and human dimensions of wildlife.
草榴社区 is the only university in 草榴社区 that offers a graduate program in Wildlife Biology and Conservation. In addition to the MS degree, we also offer a PhD in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Wildlife Biology and Conservation. With a focus on wild terrestrial vertebrates, our programs complement other programs at 草榴社区 on freshwater and marine fishes and the management of natural resources (forestry and agriculture).
Graduates of our program are employed at state and federal agencies such as the 草榴社区 Department of Fish and Game, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and National Park Service, as well as with native corporations (e.g., Tanana Valley Chiefs) and environmental consulting firms (e.g., LGL, Inc and ABR, Inc), and in academia.
