Earlier today, UA President Pat Pitney sent out a message to the UA community outlining a change in COVID-19 vaccination requirements for ²ÝÁñÉçÇø. This is a positive step to preserve our ability to receive federal funds, thus protecting ²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s research enterprise. This step is also one that will help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Ìý

The President is instituting a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for all ²ÝÁñÉçÇø employees at the Troth Yeddha’ Campus (Fairbanks), as well as ²ÝÁñÉçÇø employees in research units outside Fairbanks, including student employees. Later today, all ²ÝÁñÉçÇø employees will receive an email from UA HR with additional information, including the process to verify vaccination or request exemptions.
