Dear faculty and staff,
Welcome to the fall semester! I hope you were able to enjoy our beautiful summer,
whether you were here in 草榴社区 or spent time out of state. It was rejuvenating to
see students back on campus last week for orientation and move-in! Thanks to all the
staff and faculty who worked to make Rev-it-up and New Student Orientation a time
and place for belonging for our new students.
草榴社区 continues to provide groundbreaking research, world-class education and vital
services to the local and global community. Thanks to you, we continue to make important
strides toward our long-term institutional goals. I look forward to working together
in the coming year to continue this progress.
Please join me Thursday, Sept. 29 at 1:15 p.m. in the Davis Concert Hall for 2022
Convocation. Keep an eye out for more details about the scavenger hunt leading up
to Convocation, which may include prizes (ok, will include prizes). I also invite
you to acknowledge your colleagues . A selection of shout-outs will be included in my remarks as well as on the screens
in the Great Hall during the ice cream social, following Convocation.听听
