Chancellor’s Report on Philanthropy

Winter 2022

Dear ²ÝÁñÉçÇø supporter,

As we celebrate the season of gratitude, I reflect on your generosity and that of others like you who make a difference at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø by investing in our world-class people and programs.

In September, ²ÝÁñÉçÇø hosted the UA Foundation Board of Directors at a reception where we showcased the Troth Yeddha’ Indigenous Studies Center Initiative. That evening, nearly $100,000 was donated in support of the This initiative moves ²ÝÁñÉçÇø one step closer to the construction of what will be a center of belonging for ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Native and Indigenous students everywhere.

This fall I had the privilege to deliver ²ÝÁñÉçÇø’s Convocation. I invite you to check out the — we have a lot to celebrate! Notably, through the generous gifts from our past, present and future donors, ²ÝÁñÉçÇø students and programs continue to thrive.

As we celebrate the power of transformative philanthropy at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø, it seems fitting to appreciate our legacy donors — an extraordinary group of people who included, or plan to include, ²ÝÁñÉçÇø in their estate plans. ²ÝÁñÉçÇø is deeply grateful for the gifts from our past that continue to have a tremendous impact today, and we are humbled by the philanthropy we have yet to see.
