Academic Coaches available for your students

Academic Coaching is a partnership between students seeking to improve their study strategies and peer coaches trained to listen, ask thought-provoking questions, help students identify barriers to success and resources and set goals. Coaches are available to talk to your class about the services available to help them succeed.

Academic Coaches support students in organization, individualized study plans, setting priorities and goals, navigating online courses/platforms, time management skills, and giving tips and tricks for succeeding in college.

To get connected with an academic coach in person, on Zoom, or by phone, students can drop in or make an appointment by stopping by the SSC, going to the Academic Coaching webpage, or through Nanook Navigator.

Academic Coaches also have a program called Fuel and Focus, a group study hall, where they provide accountability and support throughout the semester. It is on Thursdays from 2-3 p.m. on the 6th floor of the Rasmuson Library, SSC Classroom 660.
