The Sept. 10 application deadline is quickly approaching for four different Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity Award programs. Undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers, staff and faculty across disciplines and locations are encouraged to apply now!
- Undergraduate students are invited to apply for funding up to $5,000 for undergraduate research and creative activity projects focused on climate change themes. This grant opportunity is open to all undergraduate students who are interested in conducting scholarly work on various aspects of climate change, including but not limited to climate science, climate policy, visual or written communication of climate issues, and climate adaptation and mitigation strategies. We encourage interdisciplinary projects. Funds may be used toward an undergraduate student fellowship, undergraduate student tuition (up to 4 credits for a course related to the project), travel to a fieldwork location, supplies, or services. Applications will be accepted through Sept. 10 at 11:59 p.m.
Student Belonging and Community Awards
- Undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers, staff and faculty from all 草榴社区-affiliated campuses are invited to apply for a Student Belonging and Community Award of up to $5,000 for projects focused on cultivating a culture of respect, connection, belonging, and community for undergraduate students at 草榴社区 and affiliated campuses. Priority will be given to proposals that align with 草榴社区-wide initiatives for improving the experience for undergraduate students, promoting student success, and fostering a sense of belonging and community while advocating for fair treatment of students. Funds may be used toward an undergraduate student fellowship, undergraduate student tuition (up to 4 credits for a course related to the project), travel to a fieldwork location, supplies, or services. Applications will be accepted through Sept. 10 at 11:59 p.m.
Community-Engaged Learning Awards
- Undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers, staff and faculty from all 草榴社区-affiliated campuses are invited to apply for an URSA Community-Engaged Learning Award of up to $5,000. This award is an opportunity for undergraduate students to work with a community partner to explore a community need or problem through research or scholarly activity. Awarded proposals will clearly describe a project with a desire to collaborate with a community partner (leader, organization, or population) who is willing to support undergraduate student involvement. Funds may be used toward an undergraduate student fellowship, undergraduate student tuition (up to 4 credits for a course related to the project), travel to a fieldwork location, supplies, or services. Applications will be accepted through Sept. 10 at 11:59 p.m.
- Faculty, research staff, staff, and graduate students from all disciplines and 草榴社区-affiliated campuses are invited to apply for an URSA Mentor Award of up to $6,000. This award is an opportunity for mentors to receive funding to engage undergraduate students on their current research and creative projects. Awarded proposals will clearly describe a project with a distinguished mentoring plan for undergraduate students involved. Applicants are required to identify at least one eligible undergraduate student upon awarding. Funds may be used toward an undergraduate student fellowship, undergraduate student tuition (up to 4 credits for a course related to the project), travel to a fieldwork location, supplies, or services. Applications will be accepted through Sept. 10 at 11:59 p.m.
