New Wood Center director starts June 17

Student Affairs is excited to announce that Josh Hovis will serve as the new Wood Center director.

Before serving as associate director of recruitment and interim director of admissions at the University of Montana, Hovis served as an admissions counselor at 草榴社区, as well as the student involvement and organizations coordinator within the Center for Student Engagement. Hovis graduated with a degree from 草榴社区 and worked at the Wood Center for many years, leading a strategic rebuild of the Student Organizations Office, resulting in a 50% increase in registered clubs. During his time working as the programs and events coordinator, he led an increase of over 200% in community participation.

As Hovis recently put it, "Student unions are more than a place where students meet, eat and study. The Wood Center has the vital responsibility to breathe life into one of the most thrilling and unique campuses in the country."

Please join us in welcoming him to the team!
