Spring Tours 2024-2025

Spring Tours will be most Tuesdays through Sundays, February 13th through April 3rd.

Pricing:  Spring Tours are $15 for adults, $10 for  youth, seniors and  military.  Under age 5 are Free.

General public tours offered at 10am, 12noon, and 2pm! All tours must be purchased ahead of time online, and tours do sell out.  Please do not come to the farm for a tour without a ticket. 

Come prepared for the weather, uneven ground, and/or mud. Tours are primarily outside and there is not a lot of heated space at the Large Animal Research Station!  A bathroom is available on site. 

All ticket holders will receive instructions for how to get onto the farm for the tour.

Field trips

Field trips at LARS are a great way to engage your students and get them excited about Arctic ecology and large mammals.  They are suitable for all ages, and content can be adjusted to better fit current curriculum.  Please email us at uaf-lars-tours@alaska.edu to schedule. Field trips should be arranged two weeks in advance.

Cost is $5 per student. Teachers and chaperones are free.  We request that there be 1 adult for every 6 students on the trip as chaperones. If this is not possible please mention that in your email so we can discuss some good pre-trip guidelines to set with your students.
