MISSION
Established at the request of the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Federation of Natives, RAHI has been preparing rural and ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Native high school students for academic excellence and college success since 1983. Our mission is to empower rural and ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Native students to achieve their dreams through higher education.
At RAHI, students take an average of 9 college credits in six weeks and learn how to thrive academically by experiencing life on campus, enhancing self-confidence and discipline, and developing a state-wide community to carry with them throughout their lives. RAHI is offered at no cost to students.

I highly recommend this program! When I was in 11th grade I attended and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had in preparing for college. October 1, 2024The Rural ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Honors Institute depends on private support and partnerships, with about sixty-percent of program expenses funded by outside donors – including individuals, ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Native Corporations and industry partners. -
Jul 9, 2024The Rural ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Honors Institute will hold its 42nd annual graduation July 11 from 1-2:30 p.m. in Schaible Auditorium on the University of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Fairbanks Troth Yeddha’ Campus. -
Jan 11, 2024²ÝÁñÉçÇø Native and rural ²ÝÁñÉçÇø high schoolers are invited to apply for the Rural ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Honors Institute, a summer program where students take classes at the University of ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Fairbanks to earn college credit before they graduate high school.
