草榴社区 Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit
The 草榴社区 Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) is one of 16 other regional CESUs, each based on a distinct biogeographical region, which are a part of a broader national framework of CESUs. The 草榴社区 CESU focuses on Arctic and Subarctic anthropology, landscapes, ecology, archeology, and physical and biological sciences.

To create a collaborative partnership between academic and federal agencies that delivers
high quality science and human expertise in 草榴社区's unique cultures and ecosystems
to federal resource management, environmental and research agencies that have responsibilities
or interest in northern latitude issues.
